Badminton in Zürich-Affoltern since 2011

 

Badminton Club Zürich-Affoltern was founded April 30th 2011 with 18 Members: many nations - one hobby!

 

Already in autumn of that same year our first competitive team started playing in 4th league of Swiss Badminton. In summer we began training kids and teens, with a group of 6 young shuttlers.

The BCZA has now moved into a larger sports hall with a total of three training sessions per week, some of which take place during the school holidays. It has grown steadily and has over 100 adult and around 30 junior members and eight teams in the Swiss Badminton league. There are free play opportunities, training sessions led by player coaches and two J+S junior training sessions per week. Club-internal fun tournaments, an all-day cantonal school tournament (Schülerturnier), extra training events and an annual club dinner round off club life.
